Meet Mireia
Mireia joined us as a football-loving but really shy woman who was on her road to recovery after previous addiction.
Since re-finding her passion for all things sport, she's made some incredible lifestyle changes and even went on to captain the England women's team at the Homeless World Cup on 2019.
She continues to be a little shy, but never on the pitch!
Active Choices has helped over 1,000 people on their recovery journey and Mireia's story shows just how powerful the power of football can be.
