About
Derby County Community Trust support children and families to lead healthier and happier lifestyles through the Live IT programme! Activities range from gym sessions to BoxFit, and trampolining to smoothie making, providing education around fitness and nutrition in a fun and caring environment. The project improves confidence, self-esteem and makes sure everyone’s enjoying themselves along the way.
It consists of weekly fitness and health eating based sessions which are free to attend if your child’s BMI is on the 85th centile or above and you want to support the whole family to exercise more and eat healthily.
The support is tailored and free to all the family for a year, kicking off with a fun activation at Oxygen Freejumping and followed up with a range of sessions and access to 1 to 1 support from our health advisors.
For those aged 12-17 we also offer personal training sessions and set individual goals and plans to encourage young people to continue their healthy lifestyle choices beyond the programme.
All sessions aim to improve self-esteem and confidence and invite participants to try new activities which are not ability dependent.

“My son enjoys the sessions - especially the trampolining! He is enjoying healthier eating and cooking at home and finds the sessions really interactive and engaging. He even stayed focused through lockdown and loved taking part in the virtual sessions.”
