Success Stories

Toby's Story

Toby completed a full 12 months on the Live It programme, and what a year it was!

Due to his inherited condition Multiple Epiphyseal Dysplasia, Toby was finding it difficult to keep active.

Staff at DCCT were aware of Toby’s situation and were able to adapt sessions, to make them suitable and safe. Toby said, ‘’They’ve been supportive and patient. I haven’t been exactly on-board all the way through, so I can’t even put it into words how helpful they have been.’’

Oliver's Story

Commitment and enthusiasm… that’s what 12 year-old Oliver brought to every session he attended during his time with our health team.

During the Live It programme, Oliver was able to gain key skills that improved his fitness and lifestyle and said ‘’I have learnt how to stay healthy and took on food-related activities. We grew sunflowers, went laser quest and trampolining. I even got to hold the real-World Cup.’’

Rachana's Story

Rachna has been regularly taking gym sessions under our Live It programme over the last couple of years.

Now aged 15, Rachna has seen a huge improvement in her physical health, something which was troubling her ever since the Covid pandemic; ‘’I wanted to get my health and fitness back up, especially after covid. I had a big downgrade in my fitness, so a programme like this has helped me get that back up’’.
