About
Free football, sports and activity sessions.
Derby County Community Trust’s Premier League Kicks project has been running for over ten years and provides free sports activities for 8-19 year olds.
Delivered in the hearts of communities on local parks and in community centres, it takes activity to the doorsteps of children and young people who might not be able to attend otherwise.
Participants are encouraged to not just take part in sessions but also to represent Derby County at regional and national level and engage with important initiatives.
Workshops are delivered on pertinent issues including knife crime, racism and hate crime and rail safety. We also engage local secondary schools in these initiatives.
The project works with key partners including the local authority, youth offending teams, housing associations, the Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner, local health service providers, Kick It Out, Show Racism the Red Card, Derbyshire FA and the Prince's Trust.
Sessions are also delivered in collaboration with education providers, including schools, colleges and universities.
PL KICKS-PAN DISABILITY SESSIONS
Derby County Community Trust offer several pan-disability sessions to support all ages with taking part in physical activity. Some of these sessions are now being delivered at part of our PL Kicks delivery.

The PL Kicks sessions are focused within the city but our Community Engagement team also provide opportunities across Derbyshire. You can see our full timetable of activities below.
