High Peak Trail

Join our Peak District fundraiser!

Join Derby County Community Trust Staff to walk the idyllic 16 miles of the High Peak Trail. The 16 mile route encompasses stunning Derbyshire scenery on a traffic free path following the route of the old High Peak Railway Line. Running from Dowlow, near Buxton, to High Peak Junction, Cromford, it follows the trackbed of the former Cromford and High Peak Railway, which was completed in 1831 to carry minerals and goods between the Cromford Canal Wharf at High Peak Junction and the Peak Forest Canal at Whaley Bridge.

Your registration fee will include our digital welcome pack, a breakfast cob and hot drink on arrival at the event, coach travel from Mount Cook Adventure Centre to the start of the route and guidance and support from Mount Cook and DCCT staff during the day who will be walking with you.

2024's event will take place on 17th March. There's a £30 registration fee to pay per walker, and a £100 minimum fundraising target for each participant.

DCCT will support you in the run up to the event providing a welcome pack with advice, tips and support to help you get started with your fundraising and will keep in touch with regular updates leading up to the event itself.

Sign up today and commit to fundraising to support improving the lives and communities of our amazing participants!
