Emerging Talent Centre (ETC)
Grow The Game!
The ETC is part of our Female Player Pathway which connects our full footballing offer for girls from age five to full-time education at post-16 level.
Aiming to attract footballers aged 8 to 16, the ETC is delivered in 15-week blocks with trials taking place every 15 weeks for new players to join. Training takes place on Friday evenings at Friesland School, between 5.00-8.00pm depending on your age group.
Since our ETC launched in September 2022, we have also taken part in friendly fixtures and hosted a tournament which included a visit from Manchester United's ETC. As we move forward, we will be hosting a lot more fixtures and tournaments as well as vising other clubs for some away fixtures.
All players who are part of the ETC also receive a full Derby County training kit to wear at the sessions.
Players can play and train for other clubs alongside the Emerging Talent Centre.
The Centres will be underpinned by five key areas:
1. Better accessibility
2. More inclusivity
3. Reducing the impact of early selection
4. More focused investment
5. Providing more appropriate challenges
There is a cost of £60 per 15-week block which covers all training and kit costs. We can also provide support for families on lower income to ensure that the centre is fully accessible.
We are working alongside Derby County Women and the Derbyshire County FA on this project.
We are now full for block 2, which is currently running until the end of May. We are taking expression of interests for future blocks, so please register your interest using the form below and you will be added to a waiting list for block 3 which starts in September 2023.
