Emerging Talent Centre (ETC)
Grow The Game!
Derby County Community Trust are pleased to announce that we have been granted one of 60 national licenses to run a Female Emerging Talent Centre (ETC).
This will form part of our Female Player Pathway with which connects our full footballing offer for girls from age five to full-time education at post-16 level.
Aiming to attract footballers aged 8 to 16, trials will be held for our Centre in September 2022. Training will take place on Friday evenings at Friesland School, from 5.00-6.30pm, for 30 weeks of the year, with half-termly fixtures.
Players can play and train for other clubs alongside the Emerging Talent Centre.
The Centres will be underpinned by five key areas:
1. Better accessibility
2. More inclusivity
3. Reducing the impact of early selection
4. More focused investment
5. Providing more appropriate challenges
There will be a cost of £120 per year which covers all training and kit costs. We can also provide support for families on lower income to ensure that the Centre is fully accessible.
We are working alongside Derby County Women and the Derbyshire County FA on this project.
Trials will take place on the below dates at Friesland School:
U9-U11: 16th September, 5.00-6.30pm
U12-U14: 23rd September, 5.00-6.30pm
U15 and U16: 30th September, 5.00-6.30pm
Recall date to be confirmed. Please register for the trials using the below form. A member of the team will then be in touch to confirm arrangements.
