The under 18's won the JPL Under 18's Cup on Saturday, beating a good Ascot United 3-1 at Sixway's Stadium in Worcester.

Following a nervous start from the Rams, Ascot took the lead with a great strike into the top corner.

After a short period, Derby took control of the game and created some good chances before half time but couldn't find the equaliser.

The young rams came out sharp early in the second half and scored an early goal through Mia to level the scores.

Derby then took control of the game with two goals in quick succession, one an own goal, followed by a penalty from Lucy to give the rams a 3-1 lead. 

Ascot came back fighting and piled on the pressure late on but Derby's defence was resolute and didn't let anything pass. 

The victory is the under 18's second trophy of the season after being crowned league champions earlier this month.

They now head into the JPL Champions Cup at the end of Mat where they will play the other league champions for the chance to win a historic treble.
