Derby County Community Trust Take Part In The Premier League Youth Summit

Our Participants At Pride Park Stadium

This week we took part in the second Premier League Youth Summit. Clubs from across the country took part in the virtual conference that was aimed at giving the young people who take part in the Premier League programmes a voice on several important issues.

Our event, which was held at Pride Park Stadium, was attended by 25 young people from across our PL Kicks, Kicks Targeted and volunteer programmes. As well as a stadium tour they took part in a number of discussions on topics including diversity and inclusion, how to tackle youth violence and how they could support the community. The participants then got their say on how they think the programmes that they attend could be made even better and how we could further support them.

PL Kicks Co-ordinator, Zack Yates said: “It was brilliant to bring together so many young people and give them the opportunity to have their say on issues that impact them. It is so important to give the young people a voice and take onboard what they are saying to make sure we’re always improving what we’re offering them and providing them with more opportunities moving forward.”
