Due to the overwhelming success at the Pride Park Stadium food donation hub throughout November, we will be continuing to accept donations of dried and tinned goods in the run up to Christmas.

Originally reinstated to cover the second lockdown period, whilst the drop off point in the DCFCMegastore was closed, the generosity of the community has been incredible with many crates worth of food being donated over each of the last three weeks.

In response, the donation hub will be remaining open for the next three weeks on Thursday 3^rd, 10^th and 17^th December from 11.00am-2.00pm.

Alongside this, Derby County Football Club and Community Trust will be supporting local initiatives to ensure those in need of support will receive the relief packages they need over the festive period.

First team player, Morgan Whittaker, has become a keen advocate of the donation hub, making weekly drop offs to support those in need.

He said: “The reaction and support from everybody’s donations has been immense, we will be supporting every Thursday as every donation makes a difference, especially coming up to Christmas.”

While food remains the important focus of the donation hub, we will be accepting donations of gifts in the lead up to Christmas too, such as books and DVDs. These gifts should be appropriate for children wherever possible and will be delivered in time for Christmas.

The food donation hub has now been in operation since April and has significantly contributed to the 150,000+ items of food which have been distributed across Derby during that time, all thanks to the kind donations from the public.
