FiveZero International Announced as Football and Education Headline Sponsors

Students in new kit

Derby County Community Trust is thrilled to announced a new headline sponsor for its Football and Education teams, Five Zero International.

The company, who specialise in providing a different and more ethical way of helping talented athlete-students to secure a sports scholarship to study at University in the USA, have committed to sponsoring our U19 and U21 teams for the season.

Nathan Heath, Managing Director at Five Zero, said: "We wanted to get on board because of the standard of football played here at the Trust. What Derby County Community Trust have got in place, with the amount of students on board here, it was a no brainer to get on board and support the teams.

"We look to pride a tailored service for each student, they each have their own circumstances and we ultimately want them to be equipped with all the knowledge of what a scholarship could provide."

Paul Heath, Director of UK Operations, added: "It's really easy to look at football in this country and think that talent only exists in academies. The size of the student population here allows us to provide this opportunity to more individuals.

"The experience could look different for everybody, but for those who decide they might want to pursue a scholarship, the opportunity to play and study in America is fantastic. Football and education can reach a cliff edge in this country, whereas in the USA you have the opportunity to extend your academic qualifications, alongside the sport, for a further four years."

Past learners have gone on to study in America alongside continuing to play competitive football. We currently support over 140 learners through our Football and Education programme, who are based at four county-wide sites.

Our next open evening is on 6th December and you can find out more below.
