Mental Health First Aid 10/11
Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses are for everyone who works with, lives with or supports young people aged 8-18. They will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis and support your own mental health too.
What it includes:
- 2 x tutored sessions

A youth MHFA manual to refer to whenever you need it

A certificate of attendance to say you are a Youth Mental Health Champion or Youth Mental Health First Aider
Key outcomes:

Increase delegates’ confidence, knowledge and understanding around how best to support someone with a mental health issue

Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues

Knowledge to help a young person recover their health by guiding them to further support from parents, carers or external agencies where appropriate
Create a mentally healthy, supportive environment for your school
