Level 4 - Supporting Students wellbeing through PE
A new nationally-recognised qualification, created by Sports Leaders UK and the Association for Physical Education, this course enables delegates to become specialists in supporting the emotional and social wellbeing of pupils through physical education.
The Level 4 Qualification in Supporting Pupil’s Wellbeing Through Physical Education is for both primary and secondary school teachers with QTS involved in the teaching of physical education.
What does the qualification involve?
The qualification runs across two terms and consists of four units with a total qualification time of 30 hours (10 hours of tutored time and 20 hours of distance learning): -
Unit 1: Understanding how physical education can impact on pupils’ emotional and social wellbeing
Unit 2: Implementing an emotional and social wellbeing-based approach to physical education
Unit 3: Empowering pupils to take care of their own emotional and social wellbeing
Unit 4: Drawing on physical education to influence the whole school to promote pupil’s emotional and social wellbeing.

Course Dates:
Day 1 – 21st Janurary – 9:00 – 3:00
Day 2 – 21st March – 3:00 – 5:00
Day 3 – 4th May- 3:00 – 5:00
All 3 dates must be attended to pass the course. Training will now be taking place online via Zoom.
