Allotment Volunteer FAQ's

Everything you need to know about volunteering at the DCCT allotments!
We need you! We are always looking for volunteers to help us to maintain our allotment plots at Sinfin and Little Chester. We have answered a few questions you may have prior to volunteering with us. If you have any additional questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with the team.
What qualifications or experience I you need to volunteer? None, we are looking for volunteers who have a passion for being outdoors or want to help us make a difference on both of our sites
What times and dates can I volunteer? We run these working groups bi-weekly Wednesdays (Sinfin) Thursdays (Little Chester) both run 10am – 12pm we would love to see you at each session but there is no pressure and you can attend when you can.
What can I expect when I get there? We have a variety of roles for you, helping growing from seed and maintaining our fresh produce, general maintenance of the sites, Building or fixing around the sites. We always have the kettle on and the biscuit barrel full!
What are the benefits for me and DCCT? There are many benefits from being active in nature and taken part in our allotment activities help you be outside and also help us grow produce from seed and give back to the local community. The more we grow the more our communities of need get this fresh produce and access to our services.
