Yoga - Strength
Claire takes you through some basic yoga exercises to encourage strength in the legs.
Relaxation and Restoration
Claire takes you through a short wind down activity, perfect after a long or stressful day.
Floor Yoga
Claire demonstrates a range of yoga moves and stretches which are low impact and do not require you to move from the floor. A great introduction to yoga poses.
Mini Circuits 1
This circuit workout is aimed at those living with Cardiac Rehabilitation, Hypertension and Stable Angina
Work at your own level throughout the session and ensure you have any medication or spray nearby you throughout.
Mini Circuits 2
This circuit workout is aimed at those living with COPD or Asthma
Focus on controlled and regular breathing. Take note of any potential triggers that make breathing uncomfortable, eg – cold dry air. Change or adapt surroundings to make exercise more comfortable and ensure you have your inhaler with you throughout the session.
Mini Circuits 3
This circuit workout is aimed at those living with Diabetes, Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Weight Management or Hypercholesterolaemia
Exercise with a friend or family member to help with motivation and support. Try creating a regular exercise routine. Wear lose fitting clothing, have some water nearby and remember to work at your own level throughout the session.
Ensure that your diabetes is stable and controlled before taking part in exercise. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is strongly recommended. If Type 1, ensure regular blood glucose testing, have carbohydrate snacks available in case it is needed to boost glucose level, avoid exercising late in the evening and try to exercise at the same time every day. If Type 2, ensure regular blood glucose testing, have a snack nearby (doesn’t have to be a carbohydrate) in case it is needed and try to exercise at the same time everyday
Mini Circuits 4
This circuit workout is aimed at those living with Arthritis, Back Pain, Joint Replacement, Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis
Disclaimer needing adding – Ensure any exercises are done smoothly, without locking joints or over stretching. Avoid any high impact activities and focus on actives such as walking, swimming or yoga.
