Ram Slam Returns for 2023!

Ram Slam

The Derby County Allstars will return to win back the bragging rights at Spondon Cricket Club on Sunday 16th July, as the Colin Bloomfield Charity Cricket Cup match takes place.

Organised by local supporter Neil Bennett, the event raises funds for the vital projects delivered by the Derby County Community Trust.

Ex-players, including Phil Gee, Roger Davies, Michael Johnson, Roy McFarland and John O’Hare have all joined the Allstars team in the past.

The day is designed for all the family, with gates opening at 12pm before the match gets underway at 2pm.

There will be the opportunity to take part in raffles and games, along with visiting the Rams Heritage Trust memorabilia exhibition, which most recently was installed at Harrison’s Hub for a pop-up event, and listening to the Ilkeston Brass Band.

Alongside the programme of activity there will be food stalls, children’s entertainment provided by Stuart Brown, penalty shoot outs and the chance to meet Derby County mascots.

Entry is just £2 for adults and free for children, with payment by cash or card on the door, and free parking is available. Picnics are welcome.

The event will take place outdoors, so spectators are advised to bring appropriate sun protection as there is limited indoor space.
