Derby County Community Trust are delighted to announce that Motorpoint Derby are returning as headline sponsors of the Derby 3K fun run, which takes place after the main Derby 10K race on 10th April.

Having sponsored the event twice before, in 2019 and 2021, their support allows hundreds of families to take part each year following the main event.

Emma Pilgrim, Events and Projects Manager at the Derby County Community Trust, said: “We are delighted to welcome back Motorpoint as our long-standing Derby 3K sponsor. The fun run provides the perfect opportunity for everybody to get involved in the race, and every year we see countless families and local teams take on the challenge. Thanks to the support of Motorpoint we’ll keep more families active this April!”

Jason Barks, Motorpoint Derby, General Sales Manager, added: “We are delighted to be supporting the Derby 3K Fun Run in April 2022.  It’s a great community charity fund raiser and Motorpoint Derby is very proud to be able to support this event through sponsorship. We wish all the thousands of runners lots of luck and hope that they are able to raise as much money as they can for local charitable causes.” 

 The Trust has worked with Motorpoint on many projects over the past few years, and the car dealership was named their Fundraiser of the Year in 2019.

The Derby 3K attracts hundreds of runners each year to take part in the shorter distance following the 10K race. Derby 10K runners can take part free of charge with their families, and 3K entries directly cost just £5, with families receiving 25% off when they book four or more places. All entrants receive their own medals.
