Fans’ Generosity nets Derby County Community Trust over £5K!
Derby County Community Trust have netted over five-thousand-pounds to support its activities, thanks to the generosity of Rams’ supporters bidding on the club's eye-catching third shirt.
The pink third shirts, worn by Rams’ players in the Sky Bet Championship fixture against Swansea City, were auctioned through MatchWornShirt and thanks to online bidders, will help to support the Trust's Health projects with a total of £5,778 raised.
Each shirt was signed by the respective player and to add to the authentic feel, bidders had the option to purchase the shirt unwashed, if they wished to capture the mud, sweat and emotion of their heroes.
Sharon Dale, Health Manager at the Trust, said: “I’m completely blown away by the final total, and first and foremost, wish to send my thanks to supporters who took the time to bid and raise such a phenomenal amount.
“The money raised is going to make a huge difference across a number of our projects and enable us to keep making a difference across the community.
“Finally, I would like to thank Derby County Football Club for their continued support.”
