Last weekend, participants from our DS Active squad had the amazing opportunity to take part in the FA Disability Cup weekend, hosted at St George's Park.

They won the FA's 'Just Play' competition, which encourage participants aged 16+ of all abilities to take part in football.

The team were invited to St George's Park for the Sunday of the Disability Cup weekend, which was broadcast on BT Sport. There were three national finals (power-chair, deaf and Cerebral Palsy) and our team got to take part in the types of football they were there to watch too.

The day finished with three of our participants getting to take the FA trophies to their plinths.

Zack Yates, who entered the competition, said:

"We had such an amazing day. We never expected to win the competition! 

"The team had such a great time trying out the different activities, before getting to watch the finals. To be able to present the trophies was an incredible opportunity that they will remember for a lifetime."
