Derby County's World Book Day Competition

Children writing

As part of our Premier League Primary Stars project we celebrate World Book Day with our schools and participants each year.

Like most plans over the last year, we're doing things a little different this time!

We are inviting all primary aged pupils to submit a World Book Day story based on Derby County mascots Rammie and Ewie.

There will be four winners chosen from all entries, one for FS2 pupils, KS1, KS2 and SEND pupils. All winners' stories will be published in a compilation which will be sent to all schools in our network.

The stories can be up to 250 words long and combine pictures with words. We ask that entries are scanned to us at [email protected] wherever possible, but highly quality images of the stories are acceptable too.

The competition will remain open until 3rd February to give us plenty of time to decide our winners and get the stories published before World Book Day on 4th March.

We have put together an Entry Guide which also has a storyboard template which you can download below.

Good luck to all our budding authors!
