Derby County Community Trust opened the doors of Pride Park Stadium for the second year, to host their Ramadan Iftar event.

Participants and members of the public came together to break their fast, pray and enjoy each other's company. A diverse range of attendees arrived, filling the room with joy and laughter.

Derby County's Ebou Adams and the Mayor of the East Midlands, Claire Ward were also amongst those who joined the event.

They listened to a speech from DCCT Health Team Leader and Event Co-ordinator, Adam Woolley before breaking their fast, praying and enjoying a meal with their friends and families.

Adam shared his thoughts on the event -

A fantastic evening to be apart of and invite so many of our participants and friends from the local community to celebrate an evening of prayer and celebration. We look forward to hosting again next year.

The event was largely populated by participants on the Community Trust's Wellbeing For All project, which is funded by Macmillan Cancer Support, and aims to support ethnic minority communities to become more aware of the signs and symptoms of cancer.

The Iftar event was supported by the Premier League Fans Fund. The Premier League Fans Fund provides grants to support football clubs at all levels of the game to strengthen connections between them, their fans and local communities.
