Meet Ellie

Ellie's Story
Ellie is the latest apprentice to join the Trust and in just two months has already seen a big impact from what she has learnt on her apprenticeship.
“The team's been really supportive,” she explained. “I’ve had new opportunities day in day out which is helping me on the apprenticeship and becoming more confident with my delivery and building solid foundations for a coaching career.
“I love how every day is different, you get new opportunities to develop in areas that I wouldn’t know about before joining the Trust.”
Her work at the Trust sees her support the Schools Events team, delivering a variety of competitions and festivals.
She said: “My day to day is going out to events and running different stations for school children of all ages.
“That can be a fundamentals workshop, helping children to develop their schools to the competitions for older children, collecting results and working on the administrative side of those events.”
She personally enjoys working closely with our Primary Schools and the impact the sessions have on the children.
She explained: “My favourite sessions are the key stage one events, with the younger children. They are all really excited and you can get involved and have a lot of fun with them.”
Ellie has already started looking further ahead to working in a higher position.
She said: “Looking to the future I’d like to stay working with the Trust, ideally in a Lead Coach position to take on more responsibility.”
