Self-Care Scar Therapy For Scars Talk

Health

Every year thousands of people undergo surgery leaving them with scar tissue and adhesions, that impacts on their day-to-day life.  Scar Therapy can help improve old and new scar tissue to get better physical and cosmetic results.

Scar massage is now commonly recommended by surgeons because it will promote scar healing and may minimise longer term complications.

It also offers support for emotional wellbeing. A powerful way for people to accept and reconnect with their scars.

Scar Therapy treatment is used to improve the health and feel of scars from surgery, accidents and/or trauma. Join us on the 11th January 2025 to find out more.

It may help:

* Release Tightness: Scar therapy can help loosen and release tight scar tissue to reduce discomfort. Treatment can be beneficial on both new and old scar tissue.

* Help Restricted Mobility: By reducing tightness and encouraging mobility between the layers of skin, fascia and muscle, your range of movement can often improve.

* Reduce Sensitivity and Pain: Trapped nerves and irritated scar tissue can be a factor for prolonged discomfort. Therapeutic touch may reduce pain and help to normalise sensitivity.

* Stimulate and Boost Healing: Scar massage is often recommended by surgeons as a way to promote optimum scar healing after surgery and may minimise longer term complications.

*Support Emotional Wellbeing: Therapeutic touch can be a powerful way to aid emotional recovery and help you accept changes in your body after a surgery or accident.
