Mark broke into the first team at Derby County at 16. He made 32 appearances for Derby in total. Had heart surgery when 16 too where he underwent surgery to correct a valve problem. Retired from football in 2020 due to having to have further heart valve surgery and is now involved in coaching at Newport County.
