Empower programme eligibility
Empower aims to support young people aged 11-12 to manage their psychological wellbeing and physical health to fulfil a happier, healthier lifestyle.
Derby County Community Trust will be unable to provide a place when:
- The young person being referred is on a waiting list or already accessing CAMHS services
- Where an alternative specialist service would be more appropriate
- Where a young person is having treatment for OCD, PTSD, eating disorders or trauma, moderate or longstanding depression symptoms, conduct disorder
- Self-harm which is moderate to severe in nature and requires medical attention or where there is a risk of death or serious injury by misadventure
- Complexity of presentation is not suitable for the programme
- The child is in a current mental health crisis
