Ellie's Story

Meet Ellie

Ellie is currently completing a level four apprenticeship with the Trust and supports our work in schools, delivering PE sessions and more.

She said: “I’m out delivering in all different schools across a variety of topics and subjects, which is good because you get to deliver a lot of different sports and interact with all different kids as well.”

It’s this interacting with different children that she loves most about her work with the Trust.

“My favourite part of the job is being out with the kids delivering sessions for them and working with different kids.

“Getting to know them as well is really good, especially as some of the kids we work with that may be the only conversation they’ll have or the only bit of PE they have so it’s important to make the most of it with them and make it fun.”

This work allows her to use the full extent of what she is learning on her apprenticeship and is preparing her for her future goals.

“I’m finding it good; I’m developing new ways of learning and how to do things as well which is good,” she explained. “Hopefully I’ll complete this and be able to move into a full time role with the Trust and it’s provided me with the skills to one day work abroad, which is something I'd like to do.”
