10K terms and conditions

1. General

• In accordance with UK Athletics Rules, no one under the age of 15 years on race day will be permitted to participate in The Derby 10K.
• Participants agree that they are medically fit to take part and enter at their own risk.
• Participants who have an existing medical condition must provide details when registering and write details of their condition on the reverse of their race numbers.

2. Entries

• Race entries are non refundable.
• Deferrals and transfers of names must follow the official process as outlined below.
  • Deferrals to the following year must be requested in writing to [email protected] at least 4 weeks before the event day.
  • Requests made within the 4 weeks before race day will be considered but may incur an admin charge of £10.00.
  • Transfers to a new runner must be made in writing to [email protected] at least 4 weeks before the event day.
  • Requests made within the 4 weeks before race day will be allowed but race numbers and t shirts will be posted to the original entrant and it is their responsibility to pass it on to the new runner.
  • T shirt swaps can be made on race day – subject to availability.
• Participants must notify [email protected] of any change of address or contact details no less than 4 weeks before the event to avoid race packs being dispatched to the incorrect address.
• There will be a £5.00 charge for a replacement of lost timing chips/numbers.

3. Late Entries

• Standard entries will close 4 weeks before the event date.
• Any entries after this date will incur a £5 admin fee and race packs will have to be collected in person from a pre arranged collection point.
• T shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed during the late entry phase and are subject to availability.
• The organisers reserve the right to offer an entry package without a t shirt if stock is limited (entry price will reflect this accordingly).

4. T Shirts

• By entering before 25 December you will guarantee your t shirt size.
• We will do our best to honour t shirt sizes after this date.
• If we cannot offer your chosen size we will inform you and discuss options.
• Please check the size guide carefully before selecting your size.
• Size swaps will not be offered until all race packs have been collected.

5. Data

• Participants agree to the organiser storing their personal information and using this information for the purpose of organising the event.
• Participants agree that the organiser may publish their personal information as part of the results of the event.
• By entering the run, participants give permission for the use of their name, voice or image in any broadcast, advertising promotion or other account of this event.  If the participant does not wish for their name, voice or image to be used in this manner they should contact the organiser in writing.
