About

Derby County Community Trust’s Get Set to Go project is part of the ‘On Your Side’ partnership between Mind and the EFL.

It is centred around the physical, social and mental benefits of being active. We were one of the original nine football league clubs to receive funding from Sport England and the National Lottery and have continued to be supported by them as the sessions have expanded nationally.

Weekly sessions encourage increased physical activity for participants dealing with mental health problems and we work with local mental health facilities to provide the best opportunities for their service users.

Our core focus is football, but numerous activities are available to try at taster sessions throughout the season. To find out when we’re next launching a session you can make a self-referral or enquire on behalf of somebody else using the form at the bottom of this page.

The project ties into wider Mind and EFL initiatives including matchdays and the ‘Have Your Mate’s Back’ campaign.
