Active Minds is a FREE 6 week exercise course aimed at helping women who suffer with mild anxiety/depression to get more active.


Whether you’re feeling a little anxious about getting into exercise,  you’ve had a break from it, you feel too unfit to get started, or perhaps you’ve been wanting to get fit for a while but just unsure about the best way to do it – our programme is designed to support you to safely make the first step.

Over the 6 weeks, the small group will meet our friendly instructors who are experienced in helping you start an exercise regime that fits your lifestyle and ability.

We will offer short tasters of different exercise classes which are taught at a beginners level with plenty of options for injuries and health conditions if you suffer from any. There’s always time for a chat and a catch up afterwards where you can discuss what you felt about the exercise session also.

Once the course is complete you will be offered 6 months FREE membership on our wider Everybody Active membership which offers a timetable of activities held across Derby, these sessions include Legs, Bums and Tums, Fitness Yoga, HiiT, Boxfit and Zumba!

Next six-week course will start Monday 25th February, 10am – 11am at the Derwent Youth and Community Centre, Monmouth St, Derby DE21 6BD.
