Active Minds introduces different types of exercise to woman who suffer with mild anxiety/depression to get them more confident about fitness.

Whether you’re feeling a little anxious about getting into exercise,  you’ve had a break from it, you feel too unfit to get started, or perhaps you’ve been wanting to get fit for a while but just unsure about the best way to do it – our programme is designed to support you to safely make the first step.

Classes consist of a small group of women which will meet and train with our friendly instructors, who are experienced in helping you start an exercise regime that fits your lifestyle and ability.

We will offer short tasters of different exercise classes which are taught at a beginners level with plenty of options for injuries and health conditions if you suffer from any. There’s always time for a chat and a catch up afterwards where you can discuss what you felt about the exercise session also.

If you find that you enjoy any particular classes, you can purchase our yearly Everybody Active membership (£50 for a year) which offers a timetable of activities held across Derby, these sessions include Legs Bums and Tums, Fitness Yoga, HiiT, Boxfit and Zumba!

Classes are delivered every Monday, 10am – 11am at Whitecross House Community Room, DE1 3PL.

Your first eight classes are free, then just 50p a class!
