Our Participant of the Year was awarded to any participant within a Derby County Community Trust programme who stands out from the rest, embraces new ideas and strives to improve themselves and others and embodies the true spirit of DCCT. They champion our values and are a role model to others. This award celebrates an exceptional contribution within any of our programmes.

Our four nominees ranged from across the DCCT programmes and all exceeded within their scheme, however 12 year old Lilly Sherrington stuck out from the rest.

Lilly is a valued member of the Derby County Girls Regional Talent Camp, DCCT Girls Futsal and the Girls Football Leadership Hub. She demonstrates commitment to the DCCT ‘Effective in fulfilling potential’ value by travelling from West Bromwich to Derby 3 times a week to participate in the numerous sessions. She is a credit to work with and constantly looks for ways to develop herself further.
