On Monday 7th May, Teams from Derby County Community Trust’s Disability Football Programme travelled to Sixfields Stadium in Northampton to take part in their annual Pan Disability Football Tournament.

Derbyshire representative teams played in both the under 16’s and Championship categories, including players from Derbyshire’s Disability Player Development Centre and Derby Shooters. Although the weather was dull and wet, the football played was far from it, including a spectacular overhead volley from one our young players as part of a 3-2 win.

Both teams were unlucky not to progress to the finals but represented Derbyshire with great attitude, respect and team play.
