On Tuesday 9th July, Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation hosted their annual Social Inclusion Tournament!

The 7-a-side football tournament brings together football charities from around the UK and is in it’s 4th year running.

The Trust entered three teams into this year’s tournament from three programmes including:

  • Team Talk (a men’s mental health initiative)
  • Active Choices (a healthy lifestyle and behavioural change programme for those with substance misuse issues)
  • Active Supporters (a men’s health and weight loss programme for those at risk of health issues)

The all-day tournament consisted of a group stage in the morning, before two separate knockout stages in the afternoon.

It was a successful day for the Trust as Active Supporters and Active Choices played each other in the semi-finals, however Active Supporters unfortunately lost in the finals against one of the Middlesbrough Foundation teams.

Many thanks to MFC Foundation for hosting once again a fantastic event, raising mental and physical health awareness issues.
