Following on from Girls Football Week last month, our female teams across the Trust have been excelling all over the region!

Our girls Futsal U15, represented by pupils from Heanor Gate Science College, were crowned champions at the EFL Trust Regional tournaments which took place in Birmingham during Girls Football Week. Their U13s then followed suit the next week, claiming the regional title. Both teams will now progress to the next round of the competition, which is being held on home soil at Derby Arena on May 24th.

Our U18s claimed the Warwickshire County Cup, and the Girls RTC U16s were victorious at their end of season tournament in Wolverhampton.

The rest of the Girls RTC (Regional Talent Centre) achievements will be celebrated at Pride Park Stadium on Thursday 10th May at their annual presentation evening.

Our new female team, Recovery Rams, played their first competitive fixtures too. The team has been set up as an extension of our Active Choices programme, for those recovering from alcohol and/or substance addiction. The project has been funded by PL Girls and will provide an exit route into long-term physical activity for our service users.

Our Girls RTC trial dates have also been announced for 2018./19 and can be found here.
