Dazzlers Support Rams in Kenya

May 2017 will see Rolls Royce employee Dave Huddleston set out on an adventure to support orphaned and destitute kids in the Nakuru region of Kenya.

Derby County Community Trust (DCCT) has been supporting the schools in this region for the last seven years and the work they do is well recognised and greatly appreciated, but for Dave it’s the first of what could be many trips.

As well as building classrooms, improving the infrastructure of the schools and running sports classes the DCCT team also brings donations of clothes for the less well-off children. Many of the children live in the local shanty towns and any handouts are always warmly received with love and gratitude.

In support of this great cause, Littleover Dazzlers Football Club offered an amazing donation of football kits.  The kids in the teams have also been collecting up their old football boots that they’d grown out of and other kits to add to the collection.

Following the gesture, Simon Carnall from the Derby County Community Trust said:

“This is a wonderful gesture and will have an amazing effect on the children at the schools in Kenya. A massive thank you to the players at Littleover Dazzlers.”
