Craig Bryson Named as NCS Ambassador for Derby County Community Trust

Derby County Community Trust are delighted to announce that Craig Bryson along with Michael Johnson and Roger Davies have been named as ambassadors for the National Citizen Service (NCS).

Rams midfielder Bryson and Club ambassadors Johnson & Davies join over 40 footballers from clubs across the country who have pledged support for the NCS programme.

Derby County Football Club is at the heart of the community and the new three NCS ambassadors are well-known names across the city, they will play an integral role in helping raise awareness on NCS and engage with the wider community.

NCS is a programme ran by the Derby County Community Trust, offering once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for 16-17 year olds to builds skills and confidence. They spend time away from home and take part in a range of outdoor activities such as abseiling, archery or rafting, as well as building CV writing and employability skills. They also get the chance to plan and deliver a team project that will make a real difference in the local area.

Bryson, Davies and Johnson will work alongside Derby County Community Trust by engaging with young people on NCS and celebrating the amazing work they achieve whilst taking part in the programme.

Following the announcement, Craig Bryson said: “I’m really proud to be chosen as NCS Ambassador for Derby County Community Trust. 

“I think NCS is brilliant. It gives young people the chance to experience a variety of activities and challenges whilst building new friendships and benefitting the local community. Ultimately, NCS lays a solid foundation for these guys to go on confidently and achieve whatever they want in the future.”

NCS takes place across Derby and is delivered by the Derby County Community Trust over the Summer and Autumn Half, it is open to all 16-17 year olds.
