Abbey, who originally joined the centre after impressing at our grassroots football opportunities, now has a total of four England Camp call ups to her name after three seasons representing Derby County.

The latest England Training Camp call up will take place on 25th-27th October at St Georges park and the inclusion of Abbey shows just how quickly she has adapted to the higher standards of football as her progression continues.

On the call up, Kieron Wicks, Technical Director at the Centre commented:

“Having been part of the Girls Regional Talent Centre for three seasons, I have seen Abbey make an incredibly smooth transition from grassroots to international football via the centre.”

“From watching her play, her quick feet and strength immediately caught the eye of both myself and the other coaches.”
