Thursday 22nd December saw Derby County players Matej Vydra and Craig Forsyth pay a visit to the Powerleague Soccerdome where youngsters were practicing their football skills during the school holidays.

On the day, they visited the 40 primary aged kids who were taking part in a holiday coaching session.

The courses aim to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for primary aged children to practice their skills, take part in tournaments, make new friends and have fun while benefiting from our highly-skilled coaching team.

Both Vydra and Forsyth got involved in the session by participating in the afternoon’s tournament; managing teams and even having a kick about themselves.

The duo took the time after the session to pose for photos and sign autographs for participants, making it the perfect Christmas surprise for any young rams fan.

After the session, Richard Mansfield from the Derby County Community Trust said:

“It was great to have the players here today. They both got really involved and took the time to interact with all the kids.

“It’s a credit to them and the club, they are obviously very busy at this time of the year so for them to come and surprise the kids as they have today has been fantastic.”
