Our coaching courses ran across the county during the school holidays – with over 300 children in attendance.

Courses took place in Derby, Swadlincote, Ashbourne, Ripley, Belper and Whaley Bridge, offering young participants the chance to benefit from the coaching of the DCCT team whilst practicing skills, taking part in tournaments and making new friends.

A particular highlight of the courses saw youngsters at the Powerleague Soccerdome visit the iPro Stadium to watch their Derby County heroes take part in an open training session.

Following the courses, Derby County Community Trust Participation Manager, Rich Mansfield said: “We’re absolutely delighted with how well our half term of coaching has gone.

“The main aim was to give children an outlet to get active and enjoy football whilst they were off school and we certainly feel that has been the case.”

After the success of the latest coaching course, the Community Trust can confirm venues for the Christmas holidays. Courses will take place at the below venues between 19th – 22nd December:

Powerleague Soccerdome in Derby
Ripley Leisure Centre

Running from 9am-3pm each day (8:30am-3:30pm at Powerleague), the Community Trust works hard with facility hosts and key partners to give parents fantastic value for money with courses starting from just £10 per day.

If you are looking to book a child onto one of the holiday coaching courses, you can register an interest by calling the office on 01332 416140.
